St. Lucian Talents Make Waves at Tuff Gong Songwriting Camp

St. Lucian artists Sherwinn "Dupes" Brice and The Mecca recently returned from a vibrant songwriting camp at the iconic Tuff Gong Studios in Jamaica. Organized by Mark Cyrus of Masterroom, this creative retreat involved 37 talented songwriters and producers, culminating in 15 new songs co-created by Dupes and The Mecca.

Highlights of the Camp:

  • Collaborative Spirit: Participants included acclaimed producers and songwriters from around the globe, forging connections with talents linked to stars like Drake and Cardi B.

  • Networking Opportunities: Artists had the chance to interact with major record labels like Warner Records and newly launched Gamma Records, backed by Apple.

  • Creative Supernova: Dupes described the experience as "tapping into a bottomless well of creativity," while The Mecca felt they had discovered something special.

These artists continue to elevate the Caribbean music scene, building upon their successful Paradise Life Tour.
